T.H. Colebourn founded the company in October 1924, specialising in the manufacturing of wireless radios under the brand name ‘Cleartone‘.

History:

The company is now ran by Phil Colebourn (Grandson of T.H.) and Mike Lyth (Great Grandson of T.H.). The company has remained in the family since being founded, they are currently an impressive 4th generation.

They sell and install home electrical items including TVs, audio systems, washing machines etc to local residents over the Isle of Man.

Located:

They are based on Victoria StreetDouglas. Over the years, they have also had branches in: Ramsey / Port Erin / Peel / Onchan

Facts:

Colebourn installed the first television mast on the island on Douglas Head, Douglas so the Queen’s coronation in 1953 could be viewed locally. They also installed and ran the original commentary points on the TT course.
